What motivated you to get your MBA?
From 2005 - 2008 I worked for a company in Superior, Colorado that provided 'Backup care' (a work/life benefit) to nearly 600,000 employees of companies such as Microsoft, Verizon Wireless, Accenture, and Columbia University. In my time at the company as Project Manager, Business Development under the leadership of an amazing female CEO, we experienced three-fold growth in employees, and more than four-fold growth in revenue. Over time I decided to pursue my MBA to get more focused on how I wanted to leverage my strengths. The journey has reaffirmed that I remain interested in a number of facets of business, which has led me to pursue an emphasis in entrepreneurship and marketing.
Background
I grew up on Colorado's Western Slope and moved to Boulder in 2000 where I attended CU for undergrad, earning a dual degree in Business and Communications. Pursuing my MBA in Boulder was not a difficult decision ... one would hard pressed to find a more supportive and stimulating community in which to earn their MBA. I love the social life that Boulder has to offer, with its amazing food & wine, culture, and many community events. In addition to school and work, I love to golf, horseback ride, host events, spend time with my dog Bean, and work on my non-profit 'Taking Action for Change.'
