Jonathan Cherry

What motivated you to get your MBA?
My name is Jonathan Cherry and I am an innovator. I am constantly thinking of creative ways to solve problems or develop new products. To name a few of my past projects, I created tea flavored chap stick, a toothbrush with a spindle of floss integrated into the handle, a carbonated exotic fruit flavored soda, and custom flavored Kombucha brewed in my apartment. Currently I am attending the Leeds school of business for their MBA program to better understand how to commercialize my ideas. It's not about the idea, it's all about what you do with it, and that's what I am here.

Background
I grew up primarily in Boulder, but moved around quite a bit. I completed my undergrad in 2004 at CU for marketing, entrepreneurship, and international business. When I graduated I found a marketing job in Germany and worked abroad for 6 months on a new product innovation project. After that, I worked on my own start up in Chicago and eventually returned to the Front Range to work at a telecom company doing marketing. Colorado's lifestyle and weather are just unbeatable.
